There are occasions where analytical approximations to the radiative and conductive opacities are a useful tool - as opposed to invoking the heavy machinery of opacity tables. Such a tool is in sig99.tar.xz, described in Appendix A of this article. Here is an example of the results for pure carbon:

The tool kapfxt.tar.xz has nearly the same physics approximations, but also returns analytic first derivatives with respect to the temperature and density. Here is an example of the results for a solar composition:
